Psychiatric services at Westbrook Health Services specializes in diagnosing and treating an array of behavioral, emotional, and mental health disorders through prescription of specialty medications. We also collaborate with our Substance Abuse division to help treat various substance abuse disorders with our Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. We also facilitate follow-up appointments for individuals being discharged from surrounding hospitals who need continued psychiatric care. Finally, we provide tele-psychiatry services to our satellite offices in other counties. This allows those clients access to quality psychiatric care without having to travel far from home.

Inpatient Crisis Stabilization
Managing life with a mental illness and/or substance use problem can be challenging. Therapy and medication management can help, but sometimes stressors become overwhelming. A relapse to substance use can occur. Hallucinations may become unmanageable, or thoughts of hurting oneself or others can take over. When troubling thoughts and impulses become overwhelming, it's important to know that there is somewhere to turn for help.
At Westbrook Health Services, there is an alternative to hospitalization. The inpatient crisis stabilization program provides a supportive, nurturing environment where recovery is possible. With proper treatment, there is hope and help for people experiencing serious life stressors.
